“THE SUPERMODELS”: THE DOCUSERIES DEDICATED TO THE TOP 4

“I don’t leave my bed for less 10 thousand dollars a day”: said Linda Evangelista once, and the backstage of this famous statement will be revealed in a new docu-series, The Supermodels, all about the top 4 of the fashion industry: Naomi CampbellChristy TurlingtonCindy Crawford and of course, Linda Evangelista. The project will be produced by Apple TV+, to narrate the stories of these 4 legends and how they still influence the fashion industry to this day.

The series will be directed by Barbara Kopple (which two Oscars thanks to her Documentaries,  Harlan County and American Dreamand produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard. “Their prestige was so extraordinary that it enabled the four to supersede the brands they showcased, making the names Naomi, Cindy, Linda and Christy as prominent as the designers who styled them,” said Apple TV+ in a statement on Wednesday. “We hope our journey seen in the docuseries will encourage, motivate and inspire young people around the world,” said Campbell in a post on Instagram. Crawford said in a similar post she is “excited to reunite with my friends” and explore “the way supermodels transcended the traditional perceptions and limits of modeling.”

Unforgettable their iconic performance on the notes of Freedom by George Michael, when the Naomi, Christy, Linda and Cindy closed the Autumn/Winter 1991 fashion show by Gianni VersaceWe hope that with this series we will get an insight on more iconic moments, like when Naomi fell on the runway of the Vivienne Westwood fashion show.
