Trophy Room, a sneaker boutique based in Florida, has an unexpected and particular Air Jordan ready for Jordan Brand fans. Although relatively young in the footwear boutique scene, Trophy Room received preferential treatment on the collaboration front. A treatment that is evident in the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG.

Premiered in late fall last year and slated for release in February 2021, this sneaker draws inspiration from the legendary Air Jordan “Chicago” worn by Michael Jordan at the 1985 NBA All-Star Game. Extraordinary details and boasts the familiar red, white and black color scheme. The details also feature “aged” colors such as the yellow midsoles and the vintage-style logo patch sewn on the insoles. Four blue and red stars can be seen in the flat rubber sole. They recall the All-Star jerseys worn by players during the match. In true OG “Chicago” style, the shoe combines white leather quarters and toecaps with red mudguards, eyelets, heels, and collar cuffs. The Swoosh, the ball logo, and wings, collars, and laces are in black. A red and white Nike Air label is sewn onto the white nylon tongue.

While all of this is familiar food for Air Jordan fanatics, there are some notable differences. One of them is Michael Jordan’s signature printed on the side heel. Also, each piece is connected by contrasting white stitching. All of the red overlays have a shimmering, almost frosty tint, a potential nod to the “freeze” put on Jordan in the game. During the match Julius, “Dr. J” Erving, and Larry Bird refused to pass him the ball.

Official release details for the new Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG have yet to be confirmed, but first rumors predict its arrival on February 10th.
