It’s official: MM6 Maison Margiela has reissued the Salomon XT-4 sneakers in the Mule version!
What until recently was just a widespread rumor among luxury collaboration enthusiasts is now an imminent release.
Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela have collaborated once again, to officially debut the XT-4 mule. The shoe first appeared in Margiela’s Resort 2024 lookbook, featuring two colorful colorways complete with a mix of beige, teal, brown, blue and yellow.
The two are no strangers to collaborative works with incredible results, such as the thigh-high Salomon model and laceless steppers. But in this new chapter of their partnership, the two brands have decided to ride the hybrid footwear trend with a sneaker that has its roots in hiking but is remodeled in the fashion world.
The XT-4 Mule which had silently appeared in the maison’s Resort lookbook is back in the spotlight thanks to a series of leaks published by some sector social pages which suggest that the sneaker from the collaboration will be released soon.
The silhouette of the shoe, closed at the front and open in the heel area, reworks the famous XT-4 model in the mule version, giving life to an intriguing mix of functionality and creativity that makes it extremely versatile and super contemporary.
The Salomon MM6 mules maintain the rugged essence of the trail-ready XT-4 sneaker and other original features of the model: the thick sole designed for the outdoors, breathability and the quick lacing system. It is obviously the rear part of the sneaker that has been removed in an innovative way, to transform into a comfortable slide-on.

The highly anticipated MM6 Maison Margiela x Salomon XT-4 mule will debut in three eye-catching colorways. Among them, the black and silver option has resurfaced recently, reigniting the buzz and anticipation for the long-awaited release.
The shoes will reportedly retail for 390 euros, but official release information has yet to be confirmed.
