Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams is known for his love of sneakers and street style. His latest creation proves it, an LV shoe that pays homage to one of Nike‘s most iconic sneakers, the Cortez. And it does so in a whopping 24 different colors.
Available in a variety of vibrant colors, with or without monograms, the Buttersoft sneaker has the potential to be Pharrell’s next hit.

Introduced in 1972, the Cortez was initially intended for track and field athletes, but it became one of Nike’s first mass-market hits and a part of pop culture.
By creating a chunky Cortez-style sneaker in the soft, luxurious leathers available to LV, Pharrell took the design of the vintage original and infused it with luxury elements.
The new sneaker was first presented on the catwalk during the Fall/Winter 2025 show, combining the traditional retro running style with a refined dandyism. Available in 24 different colors, the shoe is made by Louis Vuitton’s Italian artisans in a very soft leather with a padded cushion effect. The sneaker features the classic rubber sole at the base but is embellished with “enchape” patches and, in some models, hand-painted edges.
There are also other small details, such as the “Phriendship” silhouette with Williams’ profile on the tongue or the lobster emblem on the upper of the shoe. The design of the shoe is completed by the inevitable LV logo on the side of the upper.
The advertising campaign starring Dua Lipa‘s future husband, Callum Turner, made the sneaker go viral right away.
