Louis Vuitton recently announced a particularly exclusive addition to its exclusive beauty line.

It’s a limited-edition collaboration between Pat McGrath and Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière, already available in stores and on the brand’s website

The collection was created to mark the 130th anniversary of the iconic monogram and is inspired by two of the maison’s signature motifs: Monogram Dune and Monogram Infrarouge.

“Monogram Dune is about a poetic, luminous woman—minimal, warm, and expressed through soft beige and nude tones. Monogram Infrarouge is its counterpoint—a fearless heroine, defined by intensity, bold reds, and striking contrasts,” Ghesquière describes in a news release.

The Monogram Dune line draws its allure from enveloping, warm neutrals inspired by desert landscapes. Eyeshadow palettes in beige, gold, and dusty rose are paired with lip products in soft nude shades, such as the Satin lipstick in a delicate rosewood brown, or the Stellar Veil Topper lip balm, featuring a transparent, holographic finish that adds a radiant dimension to any lip color.

Monogram Infrarouge, on the other hand, has bolder connotations. It focuses on anthracite and plum shades, paired with a deeper burgundy lipstick with cool undertones.

The eyeshadow palette, housed in a deep black case with a bright red monogram, is richer and cooler in tone, with shades of taupe, rosy beige, shimmering anthracite, and velvety burgundy. It also features a darker, deeper version of the Satin lipstick, a familiar reissue of the brand’s best-selling Monogram Rouge.

“Nicolas and I have been creating looks together backstage at Louis Vuitton for so many years that we have an immediate connection: trust and creative cohesion,” McGrath states in a press release. “The products are born not from a brief, but from a feeling. It’s not a collaboration in the traditional sense: it’s the evolution of our partnership.”

To get an idea of the opulence and exclusivity of this beauty collection, just look at the products’ dizzying prices: each eyeshadow palette costs $340, while the lipsticks and balms are priced at $195.

Even for luxury beauty enthusiasts, this collaboration certainly represents more than just a simple everyday makeup line.
