Spotify not only it has made known the artists more than every single user (SPOTIFY WRAPPED), but has also published the ranking of the most listened artists and albums of the year on the platform. Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, were crowned by Spotify as the most streamed artists of 2020.
According to reports, Bad Bunny is the leading artist this year with more than 8.3 billion streams and his album YHLQMDLG, is the most listened to with over 3.3 billion streams. Drake takes second place followed by J Balvin and The Weeknd. Meanwhile, Eilish ascends the throne as the most streamed woman, followed by Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.
Following YHLQMDLG are The Weeknd’s After Hours, Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, Harry Styles’ Fine Line and Dua Lipa‘s Future Nostalgia as the most streamed albums of 2020. As for the songs: The Weekend’s“Blinding Lights” is at number 1 with over 1.6 billion streams, Tones And I‘s “Dance Monkey” in second place and Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” and SAINt JHN and Imanbek‘s “Roses” in third place.
And in Italy? In first place among the most listened male artists we find tha Supreme, which took an active part in 2020 with the release of “Bloody Vinyl 3”. Immediately after him Sfera Ebbasta. Among the most listened to albums, however, in the first two positions, we find discs released in 2019: “23 6451” and “Persona“.
