Nike has officially confirmed that its roster of athlete ambassadors has expanded, and the newest addition is none other than Alysa Liu, the 20-year-old Olympic figure skating gold medalist who has won the hearts of the world with her spontaneity.
The collaboration is kicked off with a Nike campaign starring her.
In the weeks since the Winter Olympics concluded, Liu’s performance has become a true cultural phenomenon.
The partnership isn’t particularly surprising given the young athlete’s rapid rise to success and Nike’s focus on athletes and celebrities with powerful storytelling abilities.
Alysa Liu, after all, always finds the opportunity to show off impeccable looks brimming with personality.

Even before the campaign, the sportswear brand also launched a commemorative capsule collection that includes a special-edition graphic T-shirt and a hoodie featuring the champion on the ice.
Now Nike is taking this opportunity to give voice to Alysa’s story, with an interview available on the brand’s website. The interview delves not only into her incredible and tenacious journey, but also into her relationship with herself: from national champion at just 13 years old, to her temporary retirement from the ice, to her historic return as the first American figure skater in over twenty years to win Olympic gold.
In part of the interview, Liu stated:“To feel free again, I had to unlearn routine. I was kind of stuck in the same day over and over again. But if you want a different life, you have to make different choices. I had to switch my inputs to have a different output.”
The campaign images feature Alysa, perfectly at ease in her oversized skater look, wearing some of the brand’s best styles for early 2026. Featured in the campaign are the classic Air Max 95 “Neon,” the innovative Air Liquid Max, and the highly coveted Jacquemus Moon Shoe.
Something tells us her striped hair isn’t the only thing we’ll all be wanting to copy this year.
Ahead of Air Max Day, Alysa wears the Nike Air Liquid Max, pairing the shoe’s neon details with a brightly colored Air Max t-shirt. Wearing the Moon Shoe, a collaboration between Nike and Jacquemus, the athlete sports a streetwear-inspired outfit with layered t-shirts and baggy cargo pants.

Although she achieved worldwide fame with her on-ice style, featuring breathtaking outfits that enhanced her jumps and spins, Liu’s “off-ice” style is way far from the flamboyant costumes she wears during competitions.
But Nike’s campaign aims to be exactly that. A manifesto, blending culture and sport, of a bold and natural rediscovered personality.
