What could ever have in common two brands so different from each other, one of fashion and the other of carbonated drinks? A “bursting” collaboration. The chic sportswear-brand Dsquared2, based in Milan of Canadian twins of Italian origin Dean and Dan Caten, has partnered with Pepsi for a capsule collection of limited edition sports clothes and accessories that will land in stores with the next spring / summer 2020 season.
Personally designed by the two designers, the capsule is a mix and match of the sport-street style of Dsquared2 and the vibrant, fun and energetic colors of the iconic advertisements of the American company Pepsi during the 80s and 90s.
The capsule collection includes 43 pieces, all with the blue Pepsi logo combined with the distinctive Dsquared2 pattern of the maple leaf, capable of making us escape from everyday life thanks to a disruptive style.
For now, only one item has been presented within the latest Milanese spring-summer 2020 catenary of the Caten twins. In fact at some point behind the scenes for the cold Dean Caten wears a sweatshirt with the Pepsi logo transformed into Canadian maple leaf stating: «It is a capsule with Pepsi that is launched already now, but in the show there is just only one. We didn’t want to create confusion ».
The “D2XPepsi” collection will be available from February 2020 in all Dsquared2 retail stores, in department stores and in stores specializing in fashion proposals from around the world.
