Now synonymous with experiences immersed in luxury and design, the two venues come to life from a story that goes back in time.

In May 1931 Giuseppe Cipriani opened the doors of Harry’s Bar in Venice. In 2001, Harry’s Bar itself was declared a national heritage site by the Ministry of Culture, having played a fundamental role in Venice during the 20th century. Writers and artists such as Katherine Hepburn, Peggy Guggenheim, Orson Welles, Joe Di Maggio, Ernest Hemingway came here to be pampered with Bellinis and excellent food.
Over the years, Cipriani has transformed into an international hospitality brand, with restaurants, luxury residential projects, hotels and clubs in the world’s major capitals.
In New York, the first Casa Cipriani was built in the premises of the Battery Maritime Building, the old terminal where ferries from Brooklyn to Manhattan landed. After a major renovation by the New York studio Marvel and with interiors designed by Thierry Despont, the building reopened its doors under the Casa Cipriani brand, with a boutique hotel and membership club formula.

Casa Cipriani is thus spread over five floors: an event space, a wellness center, a small hotel and a private club with a lounge, jazz café, bar and various dining options. The interiors are inspired by the luxury ocean liners of the 1930s, in particular the Normandie, one of the most beautiful Art Deco cruise ships ever built. The forty-seven rooms and suites on the third and fourth floors, all with private terraces, offer hypnotic views of the East River, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.
The prestigious Casa Cipriani restaurant is also elegantly furnished like a vintage ocean liner. The menu is equally rich in history, including Harry’s Bar classics such as the original carpaccio, baked tagliolini with ham, calf’s liver alla Veneziana, baby artichokes from the island of Torcello, and the famous vanilla meringue cake.

The Milan location has the same refined atmosphere and the same services as the New York location. The Bar Arrigo, thanks to high ceilings and simple and elegant furnishings, is an intimate and refined place, ideal for an informal meal or an aperitif. The Cipriani Restaurant, on the third floor of the Palazzo, is composed of a large internal room and a large terrace overlooking the Indro Montanelli gardens. And here you can enjoy the iconic dishes of Harry’s Bar as well.
Last but not least, on the top floor, the Socialista Lounge is an environment inspired by the eclectic interiors of old Havana, with European colonial influences.
