After the great success achieved in the cities of Milan and Paris, the exhibition Dal Cuore Alle Mani: Dolce&Gabbana finally lands in Rome.
To host the huge and opulent collection of the two iconic Italian designers, Palazzo delle Esposizioni was chosen, the sumptuous building designed by Pio Piacentini, the largest exhibition and cultural space in the center of Rome, inaugurated in 1883.
The exhibition, inaugurated this Thursday, celebrates the artistic and creative history of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana (who this year celebrate 40 years of activity), and is also part of the four events that the fashion duo is planning to bring to Rome in the coming months: two haute tailoring and haute couture shows, between Fori Imperiali and Ponte Castel Sant’Angelo, a high jewelry exhibition at Villa Adriana, in Tivoli, and a closing party in a location yet to be revealed.
For its return to Italy, the exhibition has been renovated and re-arranged in the prestigious Roman context, enriching itself with new meanings. The more than two hundred precious creations by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana dialogue with the magnificent neoclassical architecture, offering a journey through fashion, time, art, memory and materials.

From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana presents the unparalleled mastery and craftsmanship expressed by the brand and the love for Italian culture, which has always been the inspiration and muse of the creations of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, retracing the extraordinary creative process that distinguishes the maison – from the heart, from which ideas spring, to the hands, through which they take shape.
The exhibition unfolds in a succession of large immersive rooms over a surface area of approximately 1,500 square meters. Each room is themed (such as the Cinema Room, or the Sartorial Anatomy room) and creates an exhibition path that explores the creative and unconventional thinking of the brand in the world of luxury – elegant, sensual and unique, but also ironic, irreverent and revolutionary.
Among the precious clothes and equally incredible accessories of the two creatives, a narrative on the multiple Italian cultural influences that reflect the essence of Dolce&Gabbana comes to life: from art to architecture, from excellent craftsmanship to folklore, from music to Opera, Ballet, theater and, of course, the suggestions of the “dolce vita”.
The exhibition, which just inaugurated its first day of opening, will remain at Palazzo Esposizioni until August 13.
