Among the most awaited events of the year for fashion, media and style enthusiasts there’s the Oscar evening with its glorious red carpet. The arrival of the stars at the event is the unmissable prelude, full of glamour and fashion statement, to the most magical night in Hollywood.
Aired from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, the 95th edition of the Oscars 2023 was held just on Sunday. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, for the third time in the role of presenter, after the 2017 and 2018 editions.
Everything Everywhere All at Once was the clear winner of the night. In addition to Best Screenplay and Best Editing, the film also won three of the four acting categories, with the award for protagonist Michelle Yeoh (who became the first Asian actress to win Best Actress) and co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan. As expected, the statuette for best actor went to Brendan Fraser for his performance in The Whale, a film that also won for best make-up.
The two blockbusters of the year, Avatar: The way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick won the technical awards for best special effects and best sound, respectively.
However, to lead this year’s nominations were other blockbuster films too such as Elvis, Tár, and The Fabelmans, actresses such as Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, Andrea Riseborough, Michelle Williams, and actors such as Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, Paul Mescal and Bill Nighy.

But it’s not just the titles and artists who have earned the coveted statuette that captured our interest. In fact, it is known that the dresses worn by the stars at the Academy Awards will be the subject of discussion as much as their performances and their films.
At the official opening of the 2023 Oscar ceremony, for the first time in the history of the Academy Awards, the famous red carpet changes color and welcomes celebs, guests and insiders in an unprecedented and delicate champagne nuance. Even the looks of the stars who parade on it seem to be less gaudy than usual, but no less elegant.
Many winners, candidates, guests and presenters have opted for the candid sobriety of total white such as Michelle Yeoh in Dior Couture, Emily Blunt in Valentino, Michelle Williams in Chanel couture and Ana De Armas in Louis Vuitton. Others like Margot Robbie in Armani or Elizabeth Olsen in Givenchy and Zanotti have chosen the everlasting refinement of black.
However, occasional flashes of color were revealed in enchanting looks such as the orange one by Sandra Oh and the intense red one by Cara Delevigne, and the more sensual outfits were no less, characterized by plays of light and transparency such as those of Kate Hudson and Rihanna.
