In March, Virgil Abloh published the first official lookbook for the LV² collection inspired by the Mod aesthetic, and today they finally release the date of the launch, June 26th. The capsule collection made in collaboration with NIGO, founder of A BATHING APE*, Billionaire Boys Club and the Creative Director of Uniqlo UT. The collection covers all the menswear areas, from tailored suits to outerwear, from jeans to leather accessories. The two graphic elements featured in the collection are the LV Damier Check and the dripping effect. Especially the leather items, like bag and backpacks mix the two designs elements: Nigo already introduced it in one of his first collections for Icecream.

Some of the items more wearable for all the streetwear fans are matching denim sets and a nylon puffer jacket, while the rest of the collection goes more in the new luxury sartorial direction, that Abloh worked on since his first Pre-Fall 2020 “Pivot” for Off-White™.

The  LV² collection designed by Virgil Abloh and NIGO out June 26th will be available in every Louis Vuitton store and on the official website of the brand. Mid-May on his Instagram account, Virgil Abloh published the first non-official shot of one of the first shoes from the LV² line, a suede slip-on with a golden decorative belt that featured the LV² logo.
