The iconic Adidas Originals Stan Smith sneakers change shape again. It will be the slower view or the desire for practicality. The fact remains that this classic temporarily abandons the closed silhouette to turn into comfortable slippers. The sportswear company dubbed them Stan Smith slip-on.

However, slip-ons are not new to the market. Already last summer the brand had released the first drops in mustard yellow and total white colors. The first experiment was successful given the demand for the second year in a row. On the other hand, the current one is presented in a total white version with green details, which will be available in some selected stores as early as the next few weeks.

The hybrid crossing between sneakers and slippers has given life to a pair of shoes that leave the heel uncovered. The remaining details, the white leather upper, the white laces, the ton sur ton brand, and the inner sole in Primegreen (recycled material used to reduce plastic waste), remain unchanged.

Born for tennis, Stan Smith has found success thanks to a clean and straightforward style. Now that fashion looks with interest in minimalism, Adidas Originals proposes its idea: a pair of mules where the laces abandon the functionality to become the detail of a classic. Here minimalism is not only given by the shape but also by the act of wearing these sneakers-slippers. Slip them on and off with a simple gesture.

But the idea of a sneaker without laces also liked adidas’ rival par excellence, Nike. The brand presented the new Nike Go FlyEase sneaker. A brand new sneaker model with a design never seen before. The sneakers have no laces and do not require the use of hands to be put on or taken off the foot. The Easy on / Easy off mode is guaranteed by a continuous insole that ensures extreme comfort and bears the name of “Diving Board”. It is she who accompanies the foot while wearing the shoe.
