Supreme collaborates with Ben Davis, choosing to enhance the work side of the american streetwear.
The rediscovery of workwear as a real trend is an idea that was already spreading on the top floors of fashion. Vetements, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton and Heron Preston are examples of this kind.
So Supreme too could not resist riding the wave and they did it, as always, at their best, making use of the partnership with Ben Davis.
The American brand founded by Ben Davis and his father Simon in 1935 in San Francisco has a historical past as a supplier of fabrics for Levi Strauss, the first company that, with its iconic jeans, established the link between workwear and fashion .
The Supreme x Ben Davis Fall 2019 collection is based on some key pieces of workwear such as work shirts, work trousers, chore coats, overalls, and beanies; almost all of them are made of colorblocked, bright and contrasting colors such as green, navy blue, pink, black and orange and rigid or hickory striped fabrics.
Each piece of the collection has the embroidered co-branding in the form of the Ben Davis “Plenty Tough” Gorilla label and the Supreme signature.
From Thursday 12 September the Supreme x Ben Davis Fall 2019 collection will be available in the stores in New York, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, London, Paris and online, while in Japan the release is scheduled for September 14th.
