Acne Studios has teamed up with Italian sportswear brand Kappa to launch a stunning 22-piece capsule.
The collection fuses Kappa’s technical expertise in sportswear with Acne’s luxury aesthetic, resulting in a series of silhouettes inspired by sports, specifically football.
While the idea behind their collaboration isn’t new, the partnership between the two brands has a unique appeal that makes it immediately interesting.
Additionally, while Acne Studios and Kappa may seem unexpected, the Swedish brand has always had an affinity for sports style.

“I have always loved Kappa. Rebels wear Kappa, which appeals to me – it’s sportswear for the cool kids,” says Jonny Johansson, Creative Director of Acne Studios. “In a world where the lines between classic workwear, streetwear, ready-to-wear and sportswear are blurred, it feels totally natural for Acne Studios to collaborate with Kappa on a collection that represents a modern way of dressing.”
The Kappa x Acne Studios collection is extensive. From retro football jerseys to denim pieces, co-branded tracksuits and second skin tech tees, the capsule offers a variety of pieces including several catchy accessories.
A special version of the Acne Studios Bowlina bag featuring flame-inspired embellishments is included. Elsewhere, light denim embellished with Kappa branding taped along the sides, tracksuit bottoms, logo caps and sneakers round out the collaboration offering.
The two brands reinterpret the retro football kits with flame prints in the brand’s iconic pink, featuring the Kappa and Acne Studios logos.
Standouts include the pink flame-print football jersey and the football boot-inspired sneakers.
Featuring a long fold-over tongue, a slim shape and tiny studs, these trainers are the perfect hybrid between an indoor football boot and a fashion shoe.

Continuing the storytelling of the Acne Studios capsule collection, the campaign shot with British record producer and musician dri Massive Attack, Tricky. Shot by photographer Jordan Hemingway and curated by stylist Léopold Duchemin, the campaign best expresses that taste inspired by 90s sportswear and the raw aesthetic of the Swedish brand.
Available now on the Acne Studios website, the collection is a perfect crossover between two brands that know how to create fashion out of football apparel.
