Good news for all the Rolling Stones fans out there! While the fashion industry is trying to adapt to the new normal after the COVID-19 pandemic, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts announced that on September 9th will open their first flagship store in Carnaby Street, London. The store, located in the heart of Soho, will offer a selection of exclusive products, merchandise and the band’ latest releases. More than just a store, RS No.9 will be a fully immersive experience for fans of all ages.
The location is perfect, Carnaby was the number one spot during the Swinging London in the 60s for the Mod, skinheads, punks and new romantics. The RS No. 9 Carnaby has been developed in collaboration between the band and Bravado International Group Merchandising Services and will feature the band’s colours, black and red. A glass floor will feature song lyrics, while the fitting rooms will be adorned with famous album artwork, while the shop window features a soundwave installation taken from the opening to the 1966 hit track Paint It Black.
But there’s more. The band announced that they received the approval from Pantone of their official colour «Stones Red», used for the first time in the band’s logo. The Rolling Stones brand is a lifestyle. The collection features collaboration pieces, including men’s, women’s and children’s wear and accessories. It will present chairs and scarves from The Soloist, and raincoats and hats from Swedish raincoat brand Stutterheim. “With this innovative partnership, the Rolling Stones add yet another cultural touchpoint to their rich legacy. RS N° 9 Carnaby is the result of years of planning and decades of building one of the world’s most recognized brands,” said the CEO of Bravado Mat Vlasic. “It creates a destination where fans can connect and immerse themselves in the music, style and spirit of one of the world’s most iconic and beloved bands”.
