It seems that in the last period the big fashion houses are competing to grab a collaboration in the world of footwear and the protagonists are always them, the sneakers. This time to start a co-lab with a streetwear brand is Maison Valentino who, during the fashion show to present his latest men’s fall / winter 2020 collection in Paris, unveiled the new designer sneakers Valentino x Onitsuka Tiger.
This collaboration consists of a set of Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD sneakers reworked and presented in a series of very bright colors: neon orange, neon pink, neon yellow, total white and a traditional multicolor. The leather used for the creation of this shoe is of the highest quality, as are the finishes and all the overall aspects of the sneaker, in fact one could not expect less from a luxury fashion house like Valentino.
The co-lab is well highlighted on the tongue and inside the sole, where we find both brands engraved; Valentino’s “V” is omnipresent on the side. In multicolor sneakers the V is red and overlaps with the Tiger blue lines, while in neon and total white it is black. The latter are rumored to be available only in Valentino boutiques and on their website, while the multicolor coloring in traditional Tiger stores. Still nothing as regards prices and the official release date, which should take place in summer 2020, as always we will keep you updated!
