Valentinoan Italian institution of elegance and style, currently based in Paris, just announced that they will hold the next Menswear and Womenswear Spring/Summer 2021 Collection Fashion Show in Milan on September 27th. The brand said that the decision was made due to the Covid-19 pandemic and that it will be temporary.
“In the current scenario, we need to make decisions in advance to protect our first resources, our people, and to allow our brand to remain relevant in exploring alternative opportunities,” Valentino chief executive Jacopo Venturini said. “This is why we feel that it would be more ethical to produce the new show in Italy, in Milano. “Paris is the city that always hosted our shows and represents the DNA of Valentino,” added creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. “The current situation has forced us to take an unusual decision.

There’s no doubt at this point that the Milan Fashion Week calendar, a hybrid between digital and IRL, will be one of the most interesting of the season: From the return of Valentino and the debut of the duo Miuccia Prada-Raf Simons to the great fashion shows of designers like Dolce&Gabbana, Fendi Versace and Giorgio Armani.
