Milan Fashion Week will be held from February 23rd to March 1st, for the third time, mostly in digital format. The conclusion will be entrusted to Valentino, who has thought of a special tribute to Milan’s city and its vast cultural panorama. The next show, ActCollection, will take place on March 1st at 2 pm. at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. The event will be broadcast in live streaming on all the brand’s channels. Born in 1947, it is the first permanent and public theater in Italy. The Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli strongly desired the initiative to launch a message of solidarity. A gesture of love and respect for this institution which in some ways also reflects the key principles of the Maison Valentino, such as the preservation of the arts and excellence.
At the moment, the Piccolo Teatro di Milano, born with the desire to enhance artistic expression, is launching a project to create a multimedia archive that catalogs and digitizes its costume heritage (over 10,000 costumes). This multimedia archive will be made available to scholars, experts, and enthusiasts of theatrical costumes and tailors, and costume designers. Maison Valentino once again enhances the Italian heritage and culture by focusing its attention on research in humanity and diversity, strengthening the values of inclusiveness.
It is not the first time this year that Maison has decided to combine art and fashion. In January, on the occasion of the Haute Couture fashion shows, the Maison presented the Code Temporal collection in the Great Hall of the Colonna Gallery in Rome.
