There is no sneaker that beats a pair of white Nike Air Force 1 Lows. Why? In addition to being a perfect sneaker for any outfit, from classic to elegant, the white Air Force 1, especially the low-cut versions, have always been a suitable canvas for personalization. And now Nike Sportswear goes back to that “do-it-yourself” ethos with the new model nicknamed Air Force 1/1, fully assembled.
While at first glance it may look like a plain white AF1 with black stitching, the 1/1 features a fully interchangeable upper. The black lines are not seams in fact but it is the velcro base on which to “attach” the pieces. The 1/1 comes with a full set of bright orange Swoosh, tongue tab, heel and laces. To allow for this customizable construction, some changes were required from the sneaker’s standard construction: The Swoosh does not rise up to the heel and a textured patch has been inserted on the nylon tongue.
The Nike Air Force 1/1 is now available in select sizes at retailers such as Lust Mexico. It will be released via Nike SNKRS in Japan on December 18th and will likely arrive in the US later on for $ 147. As for Europe, there is no news yet.
