That Selena Gomez is realizing her personal project in the beauty industry is no longer just a rumor. It seems that the young singer has requested the registration of the trademark “Selena Gomez” through her production company July Moon Productions, for a series of beauty products just last month. The various cosmetic products mentioned include “fragrances, perfumes, colognes, aftershaves, cosmetics, cosmetic preparations, body care preparations, skincare preparations, hair care preparations, soaps, moisturizers, incense, nail preparations, beauty products, and essential oils”.

Taking part to the increasingly crowded list of celebrities who embark on the path of beauty and make-up, Selena doesn’t take us exactly by surprise. After Rihanna with Fenty Beauty, Kylie Jenner with Kylie Skin and Kylie Cosmetics, Kim Kardashian with KKW Beauty, Lady Gaga with Haus Laboratories and other minor cases, Selena Gomez also offers another opportunity to demonstrate the increasingly effective closeness between the world of media and music and the one of beauty. In other words, singers, actresses and influencers are also (if not, above all) aesthetic reference models and to make this status a brand has become for them a logical and trendy prerogative.

Like most of these stars, the 27-year-old singer will bring into her beauty line the peculiarities that have distinguished her as an artist. So, we expect a line that enhances the naturalness, the self- acceptance and the charm of spontaneity, characteristics that have always matched her reputation.

In any case, Selena is certainly not new to experiences outside of her singing career. Among the different fashion partnerships that involved her, we cannot mention her collaboration with Coach, both as a creator and as a face of the brand. She is also currently the face of Puma and will collaborate with the sports brand for a line of clothing, shoes and accessories.

By now, Selena Gomez has not made any statements regarding her beauty line. She just let us know, through her Instagram posts, that the time has come to go back to work
