COMME des GARÇONS PLAY and the collaboration par excellence with Converse’s Chuck 70 have reappeared in a new heart-printed style. Standard colors but a new interpretation of the CDG play logo. A more romantic interpretation than CDG and Jordan’s rock and aggressive collaboration with Air 1 last year.
There are both high and low iterations, each dressed in black / sail or sail / black color combinations. The canvas upper of each pair is covered by an all-over print, with a solid red heart on the side collar surrounded by numerous mini hearts on the heel and forefoot. The overlapping fabric stripes on the heel add contrast and the Converse star logo retains its place on the Hi’s medial collar. Although the all-over heart print debuted for the first time on Pro Leather in 2015 and arrived at Chuck Taylor in 2018, this marks the first time that it has been applied so freely on Converse.
These cheerful Chucks will be released on April 29 at Dover Street Market, while other CDG dealers will be supplied from May 15. Prices have not yet been announced.
