Acne Studios capsule collection 7 & 8 starts from fabrics to reinvent them creatively: silk fabrics, jersey, fleece, and eco-printed denim are declined in the street aesthetic, graffiti, drawings, stylized figures, abstract phrases go to embellish jersey t-shirts, fleece overalls, silk shirts and jeans with patches.
The garments feature eco-bleached, over-tint, and eco-stonewashed effects to reformulate these fabrics further to create a worn look.
The collection comes to life through subtle pink, purple, faded gray, and baby blue shades. A cream and wheat patchwork bomber jacket and a whitish nappa leather tank top are the collection’s highlights.
“What struck me about the Repurposed collection was that it was designed with a social conscience and several good intentions in mind,” said Olu Odukoya, artist and creative director who curated the campaign. “All these clothes are designed so that every single person can wear them, regardless of gender or identity. For me, it’s modern, powerful, and joyful.”
