During the years, many stylists and celebrities have given their contribution to create a capsule collection for Nike, the American leader in sportswear. Among them, we must at least mention Eminem, Riccardo Tisci, Dior’s artistic director Homme Kim Jones, Matthew Williams, creator of the revolutionary brand Alyx and Vigil Abloh, founder of Off-White.
Today, though, we are going to talk about something a bit different, regarding none of these notorious people of the fashion industry, and dealing instead with a pretty funny anecdote about Nike. The main character in this story is the Italian Andrea Canziani, member of the project DROPOUT, the first reselling shop born in Milan in September.
Canziani experience a complete revolution in his life thanks to a simple purchase from Foot Locker: a pair of Nike Air Jordan Reverse Shattered, orange and white, with a really incredible manufacturing defect: the iconic black swoosh inside one of the shoes was sewed backwards (a “reverse” model indeed), which provided this pair of shoes with a shocking economic value. After the first high offer received on Ebay, the pair has been valued as an unique piece, only available for the wealthy.
Now, you can check it out at the DROPOUT Store in Milan or, simply, on their website, where Nike enthusiasts can acquire this rare product for 125.000 euros! Yes, you heard me right: that’s a lot of money for a glitched piece.
The most curios fans couldn’t resist and went to via Urbano III in Milano, in order to take a picture of the exclusive and unique Nike Reverse Shattered.
You know they say the first pancake is always failure: on this occasion it was an actual success!
