New opportunities are coming for Instagram influencers. Facebook Group CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced several features that will help content creators generate more revenue. Currently, many of them are paid to post, sponsored reels or stories. But now Zuckerberg’s goal is to help brands discover emerging influencers who align with their goals.
MATCH BRAND AND INFLUENCER
It is a marketplace that helps match brands with content suitable for the audience they are trying to reach. “We should be able to help brands find influencers who are uniquely aligned with the work they are trying to do and vice versa.” The words of Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram.
CREATOR SHOP AND NEW MARKETPLACE
Zuckerberg also announced a new way of selling, the “creator shop,” which will allow influencers to offer products directly from their profile. In addition, Instagram influencers, in addition to being paid by brands to promote products, will also be able to obtain a percentage from the sales of the products they recommend. To make this happen, Instagram is thinking about creating a marketplace that is based on recommendations and affiliations. This will allow users to monetize sponsorship of certain products.
FEATURES AGAINST VIOLENCE ON THE WEB
But the news for Instagram does not end there. The social network will also introduce new tools to combat cyberbullying and block offensive content on the platform. A filter, which can be easily activated or deactivated, will prevent users from seeing violent messages in their Direct Message, the social media’s private messaging service. Another tool will prevent profiles that one or more users have blocked from contacting them through another account.
