Sustainability is taking on an increasingly important role in Miu Miu’s imagination. The news of the upcycled line arrived only some time ago and yet the brand was not satisfied with the likes. Now the house of the Prada group bursts into fashion with another twist, announcing an expansion of the capsule together with Levi’s.

The partnership project was confirmed by the posts spread by both Miu Miu and the denim label on Instagram. Both have published the same image that portrays the classic Levi’s label which for the occasion is tinged with candy pink. To contemplate everything, the presence of the logo of the Italian brand founded by Miuccia Prada. On the other hand, noticing the background, you can see some jeans that, according to the number shown on the pink plate, suggest the historic 501 model of the San Francisco brand.

From what emerges from the caption of the social network, the official launch is expected in spring 2021, but the precise date is still top secret. The method of collaboration is also secret, since the upcycled project assumes the reworking of recycled vintage pieces redesigned according to current style and trends.

For the uninitiated, the Upcycled by Miu Miu collection when it came out in December, is a new capsule of 80 unique models, built starting from garments that date back to a period ranging from the 30s to the 80s, carefully selected in stores of vintage clothing from around the world.

As for Levi’s, it is not the first time that it has collaborated with luxury brands. An example of this was the recent alliance with Valentino for the latest spring / summer21 show. For the occasion, the creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli has developed an exclusive version of the Levis’ 517 boot cut blue jeans model originally launched in 1969.
