La Perla conquered Milan thanks to its new lingerie collection, but also – listen carefully- thanks to 18 handmade wedding gowns. For this refined brand from Bologna, entering the bridal world has been almost natural.
The attention to the feminine body, precious fabrics and a royal sensuality, thus all the fundamental ingredients for a perfect wedding dress, were already in its Dna.
Therefore, no surprise, just a huge pleasure for the eyes, when the wedding models 2019/20 appeared on the Milan Fashion Week catwalk next to the new (obviously marvelous) lingerie and nightwear collection.
The dresses, designed by Alessandra Bertuzzi, leader of the design team, enhance the dreamy and refined side of any woman through La Perla’s iconic fabrics: silk, the finest lace, tulle. Of course: corsets, drapes, waterfalls of Swarovski crystals and haute couture details: all the pieces shine of precious simplicity and prove deep sartorial abilities and stylistic cure.
The result is an alchemy of sensuality and elegance, that also appears in the lingerie collection. Here the experimentations are all based on classical colours: white, nude, black, but even colour-block and black with light blue inlay.
Details and materials are, as always, super precious. The taste is glamorous and retro. Cleavages are just wonderful: deep, provocative, embellished by beautiful lace and dreamy drapes. A show we won’t forget.
