MFW2019: TOD’S IN THE MIDDLE BETWEEN MADE IN ITALY AND BRIT GLAM

In Milan, Tod’s presented on the catwalk a magical autumn atmosphere, with a Biritish touch but also with a lot of the Italian style. Diego Della Valle’s brand is all about glamour, authenticity and Italian know-how, contaminated with the London mood.

The result is a cool and casual look, fruit of great artisanal abilities, with an extreme attention to accessories and details.
The collection is also on ode to a very precious material, that Tod’s is marvelous at: leather.
It can be super sensual: lacquered, on very tight trenches, on knee-lenght skirts with frontal slit, but it’s also luxurious, when paired with chic crocodile accessories.

Most of the pieces presented during this show in the contemporary art Pac-Padillion in Milan are boxy on the shoulders and tight on the rest of the body.

When daring, Tod’s offers shorts worn with shearling jackets or boxy tops matched with manly pants. Instead, for a reinterpretation of the classics, wonderful shirts’ collars and palm decorations on inlaid fabric. Leopard print is still a must-have.

Among bags, we couldn’t help but notice D-Styling, the sister of the D-Bag used for an artistic installment welcoming the hosts of the show. Tod’s will never let us down.
