Many are already talking about which trends in the fashion industry will survive the transition between 2023 and 2024. Y2K seems to be one of these and Louis Vuitton confirms it.

The French fashion house enters the new year with a collection that looks back at past decades and pays homage to Marc Jacobs‘ indelible impact on the history of the brand.

Since 1997, the American designer Marc Jacobs has been at the helm of Louis Vuitton for over 16 years, carrying out a creative work characterized by an infused elegance always mixed with a note of refined irreverence. His Spring/Summer 2001 collection is perhaps his most famous, as he collaborated with Stephen Sprouse on several graffiti-painted pieces that altered Louis Vuitton’s clean aesthetic.

Now for its newest LV Remix collection, the brand is on a mission to reinvent the monogram, serving up a celebration of the Monogram Vernis collection from 2000. Arriving in the form of a new digital campaign, the house brings together icons of the past with those of the future, imbued with a virtual aesthetic and delicate hints of color.

The campaign created for the occasion features Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor together with Shay Mitchell, Lous & the Yakuza and Nana Ouyang.

The young testimonials of Louis Vuitton exude 2000s vibes from every pore as they show off some of the brand’s most iconic pieces, debuting with leather goods, shoes and accessories imbued with Y2K signatures.

The campaign combines a sense of freshness and youthful charm with nostalgic references to

Monogram Vernis collection, which is projected into a modern and lively present.

The LV girls swing back and forth on metal swings wearing 2002 Croissant, Capucines East-West, Twist West and Twist Little bags with re-interpreted designs made chic with denim fabrics and versatile straps.

In addition to bags, LV Remix highlights monogrammed denim shoes like the Nina Ballerina and Archlight Slingback, as well as the classic Helios line of espadrilles. Also present are Vuitton’s low heels and chunky sneakers edited in a soft denim monogram.

On a more casual note, key sneakers like the Neo Run Away and Time Out make an appearance, featuring monogrammed denim details and pastel tones of blue, pink and cream.

Vintage-inspired accessories such as belts, caps and bucket hats, along with the brand’s My Daily Denim shawl, complete the Remix collection.
