Louis Vuitton unveils the second part of the Pre Fall Collection 2022, which is once again focused on the work of Virgil Abloh.
The tailored trousers have soft and wide shapes and are worn with jackets instead of blazers for a more friendly and informal style. The design remains faithful to tradition, such as in the tone-on-tone black wool college jacket with leather sleeves and Louis Vuitton monogram in relief. Other iconic pieces include a bomber jacket in white leather and mutton, a bottle green biker jacket with leather inserts, and a turquoise padded jacket with the maison’s floral motif.
Virgil Abloh’s love for oversized cuts and lightweight materials is kept throughout the capsule collection. The collection includes a blue striped dress with Abloh’s distinctive stiletto hook closure. The lines reference the tradition of the Maison, the same that covered the trunks in the early ‘900. Abloh also brings back the idea of a three-piece dress but projects formal clothing into the contemporary.
