Kanye West announced on Twitter that he will run for office. “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States,” adding the American flag and the hashtag 2020VISION.

His tweet seems to be approved by his wife Kim Kardashian West (and future first lady?) that responded with the emoji of the American flag. We still don’t know if this is a joke or a provocation. Kanye West didn’t register his name at the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and he missed the deadline. The closest name on the FEC databases is the candidate “Kanye Deez Nutz West” that registred his documents with the Green Party in 2015, using the address “Golddigger Avenue 1977, Suite Yeezus”.
This is not the first time that West announces that he wants to run for office. During the MTV Video Music Awards 2015, during a speech, declared that he wanted to run for the 2020 Presidential Election, but last November he postponed the date to the 2024 elections.
Recently the rapper donated 2 million dollars to George Floyd’s family to help his daughter Gianna, after that Floyd got brutally killed by a police officer.
