After a few hours from the announcement of the easing of the lockdown restrictions in the UK, the first images of Queen Elizabeth II popped out, pictured horseback riding next to Windsor Castle. The queen and her husband, Prince Philip, have been isolating in the castle for two months, with a reduced number of their staff due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Queen Elizabeth, 94 years, seems to be in great shape while she rides her Balmoral Fern pony.
During the lockdown, the Queen demonstrated once again how self-sufficient she is in handling daily tasks. Sources close to the Royal Family already revealed that Elizabeth II has been styling her own hair for the past two months. The results, that we saw in her latest announcement, were: luminous white hair, with a perfect blow-dry, that looked exactly like when her personal hairstylist, Scott Ian Carmichael (which has been working with the Queen for 23 years), do it for her.
Almost no one was authorized to come close to the Queen and Prince Philip. “We will meet again,” she said on the 6th of April in her last speech to the nation, where we were able to admire a glimpse of the royal living room. Images that resonated all over the world, of a strong woman, confident in guiding her people, that was able to comfort them with words full of hope and love. With her emerald green suit, wore for the occasion, she wanted to homage hospital key workers, that have been fighting for months against the virus. Today’s images show us some hope once again, with that “We will meet again” closer than ever.
