On March 11, New York saw the opening of a new breathtaking terrace. “Edge“, “the new tallest external observatory in the western hemisphere,” writes CNN, is located on the one of the skyscrapers of the Hudson Yards, the new building complex built in New York along the Hudson River on the west coast of Manhattan.
The terrace protrudes for 24 meters, is free of visual barriers (the external panels are in glass without a frame, inclined towards the outside), it is suspended at 345 meters in height. It has an area of approximately 700 square meters with a staircase that leads to the upper floor where you can sit and have a 360 degree view of New York. Edge is unique in the world with a series of features that combine the best of architecture, design and technology; such as, for example, the panoramic floor of Hudson Yards which is glazed to offer a dizzying view of the hundred floors under the feet to the people and cars that fill the streets of New York.
It is located on the 100th floor and the lift takes 52 seconds. The 101st floor houses a restaurant, bar and exclusive event space.
The new New York terrace, among the most beautiful in the world, offers a unique point of view. It can be seen from the tip of Central Park to the Statue of Liberty and beyond.
