DETOX OPERATION AFTER THE HOLIDAYS

The parties are beautiful because together with the family we have fun, we chat and between one thing and another we always end up teasing and eating something. And here comes the swelling sensation immediately and a few extra pounds on the scale. So taking advantage of a few days on New Year’s Eve, the Detox operation is triggered! Eating healthy and a little physical activity will surely help us get back in shape as we were before the Christmas dinner.
1. 5 MEALS A DAY
Do not think that skipping meals helps to remedy the excesses of Christmas, it is a useless and dangerous sacrifice, which will not help you purify yourself or even lose weight! Instead, eat 5 meals a day to distribute calories and nutrients throughout the day. Never skip breakfast and play snacks between fruit meals to keep hunger at bay and not to binge on main meals.
2. FRUITS AND VEGETABLES YOUR ALLIES
Fruits and vegetables with their content of vitamins and minerals are the perfect allies for cleansing and losing weight. Eat at least 5 servings a day. Choose, in particular, fruits and vegetables with a higher purifying power: artichokes, rich in fiber; the apple, which thanks to pectin helps to regulate intestinal transit; lemon, a mine of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that protects you from the attack of free radicals.
3. LOTS OF WATER
Water is an essential substance for the body because it performs very important functions: it promotes digestion, is a source of mineral salts and, inducing a sense of satiety, also helping you to control yourself at the table.Make sure to drink at least 2 liters per day.
4. HERBAL TEA
Herbal teas help to find balance and to get rid of toxins and, if you are a person who doesn’t tend to drink enough, they are the perfect alternative to water to keep you hydrated. Start the day with an artichoke, dandelion and chicory herbal tea: drink it on an empty stomach to make its active ingredients work more effectively on the liver. In the evening, pamper yourself with a relaxing herbal tea made from lime, lemon balm, chamomile, to ensure a regenerating sleep.
5. SPORT
Together with a balanced diet, do sports! Not necessarily going to the gym, even brisk walking will certainly help you. Playing sports helps to maintain or return to our ideal weight, protects our cardiovascular system, strengthens our immune system and reduces stress!
