Netflix and Amazon Prime Video be prepared! After just over a month since the debut of the Disney’s streaming platform in the United States (November 12, 2019), the American company has shown to be successfull even before arriving in all the other countries.
Nostalgia and curiosity, moreover, are aspects that Disney has always perfectly symbolized and its recent entry into the Streaming market is leading to a huge change in the world of digital entertainment, gathering together not only the generations devoted to the great classics but also a whole new part of the market.
As it is already known, the Disney + service includes a really rich catalog, as subscribers will also be able to view contents of 21st Century Fox, Pixar, Marvel, LucasFilm (of the Star Wars saga) and National Geographic.
Italian fans and lovers will have to wait a few more months. The company has announced that the Disney Plus platform will arrive in Italy on the 31st of March 2020 and, at the same time, it will also be available in Germany, United Kingdom, France and Spain.
It is easy to understand that the Major’s streaming service constitutes a decidedly competitive proposal,
not only because DisneyPlus service is going to gradually get back its exclusivity on many Disney-signed productions that will be therefore no longer visible on Netflix or Prime Video, but also because currently the cost of the Disney Plus subscription in America is $ 6.99 per month.
Consequently it is estimated that in Italy the price will probably be around €6.99 per month while the annual subscription will be €69.99.
In this waiting period Disney has announced and is continuing to announce new titles of series, live action and films that will be available in the catalog, stating that these titles could be subject to variations and different types of availability depending on the geographical area.
In any case, we already know which titles proposed on Disney + are attracting greater interest: in addition to the timeless Disney classics from “Snow White” to “Mulan” and many others, we cannot miss The Mandolorian, the series from the Star Wars universe, the very latest live actions of “Dumbo”, “Aladdin” and “Lady and the tramp”, Pixar miniseries such as “Float” and “Loop”, a series inspired by High School Musical and a highly awaited revival of Lizzie McGuire.
