Through their signature line, the American basketball player Paul George has presented his great passion for video games to the world. In so doing, he while strengthening the relationship between Nike and Sony PlayStation. In parallel to the console, footwear, sports player of the Los Angeles Clippers have evolved, reaching up to the PG5 and for the occasion, decorated in the theme of the PlayStation5.
All the details of the PS5 have been perfectly combined to the new entry of the house, Nike, thanks to Yujin Morisawa, responsible for the design of the PlayStation 5, and Tony Hardman, the designer of PG5. The result is a sneaker full of details that refer to the two worlds. Starting from the upper, we may immediately notice the similarity with the body in white of the gaming console by Sony. The black details and the blue lights of the final model were, respectively, translated through the lacing black and blue accents on the swoosh and outsole.
On the black tab, we find the logo of Paul George joined one of the PlayStation, played again in a charge placed on the inside of the midsole. One last reference to the world of gaming is finally hidden in a pattern that covers the heel of the PG5, where there are the historical geometrical symbols placed on the controller of the Sony.
According to the latest rumors, the Nike PG5 “PlayStation” comes out on two different dates. The first launch, the global one, has been scheduled for May 14. On the 27th of the same month, the shoe will make its debut in North America.
