It seems that big concerts will not find space even in 2021. The famous American Coachella music festival has been canceled due to Covid. The fear is that the appointment could be a triggering event for a new wave of infections. The US health authorities are afraid of aggravating the situation with a recent increase in infections, which in such circumstances would be inevitable. As we know, hundreds of thousands of people worldwide take part in the festival. Coachella historically takes place over two weekends in April in the Californian desert.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, universally known as the Coachella Music Festival, takes place annually on the Empire Polo Club’s grounds in Indio, California. The first edition was held in 1999 but with a low turnout of the public, so the festival was suspended the following year. The organization restarted in 2001, and since that edition, the event has continued to grow in popularity. Today it is considered one of the most important music festivals in the world.
The latest edition that of 2019 was attended by, among others, Ariana Grande, Kanye West, Blackpink, Childish Gambino, The 1975, DJ Snake, Diplo, Billie Eilish, Tame Impala, J Balvin, Wiz Khalifa, Alice Merton, Sofi Tukker, Nina Kraviz, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and NSYNC.
In America, there are already many concerts that have been definitively canceled: The Stagecoach festival, dedicated to country music, which should have always been held in April, while the Ultra Music Festival has already scheduled new dates in 2022.
