LEGO and Nike have finally decided to join forces.
On August 22, LEGO and Nike announced a multi-year partnership, details of which have yet to be revealed.
After years of anticipation from fans of the two brands, the world’s largest sportswear brand and the toy brick building company have planned a partnership that will include a “co-branded series of products, content and experiences.” , according to what was declared in a statement.
“We are excited to partner with Nike on this journey and help reimagine how creative play and sport can unite,” “Together, we will create unique experiences that will engage and excite kids around the world, inspiring them to explore their imaginations.” Stated Alero Akuya, VP of Brand Development at the LEGO Group.
“At Nike, we believe in the power of sport to move the world forward, and that starts with kids,” Cal Dowers, VP, Global Kids, NIKE, Inc., continued. “Together, with the LEGO Group, we’re excited to invite all kids into a new vision of sport and creative play.”

As clarified several times by both companies, the goal of the LEGO x Nike project is “to defend children’s right to play”.
From these statements it can be understood that the LEGO x Nike offer will be dedicated to kids. But even if the collaboration will focus less on making Nike sneakers out of LEGO bricks and more on designing products suitable for kids, that doesn’t mean it won’t win the interest of even older fans.
“Today’s announcement reflects the LEGO Group and Nike, Inc’s shared commitment to put creativity, fun, sport and imagination back into play, and inspire, engage and empower kids around the world,” the pair said in the statement.
It is not yet known how exactly the collaboration will manifest itself, although it is likely that the kids-friendly LEGO kits will be designed as products for beginners. It cannot be ruled out that more complex constructions will arrive in due time, such as the Air Jordan replicas that many LEGO masters have proposed on the brand’s Ideas website.
In any case, for now Nike and LEGO have announced that they will launch their first products in 2025.
