After months of leaks and rumors, Kim Jones has officially unveiled her new collaboration with Nike. The English designer, creative director of Dior Homme and Fendi, has worked on a sneaker and an apparel capsule. After revolutionizing the sneaker game with the collabo of the decade, Air Dior, Jones, this time focused on an Air Max 95.
The upper of the new Air Max 95 draws inspiration from the details and materials used on other Nike silhouettes, from the Air Max 360 to the translucent inserts typical of the React Element 87 and the Zoom Fly SP. A small Swoosh in full Nike Sportswear style is visible on the front of the shoe. The sneaker has been declined in two colorways. The first “Volt” is a tribute to the Air Max 95 “Neon”; the second in the “Total Orange” nuance. Both sneakers are accompanied by an apparel capsule consisting of a hoodie, T-shirt, jackets and trousers, characterized by graphics, Swoosh, and proposals in colors to match those of the sneakers.
The Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 “Total Orange” sneaker and corresponding apparel capsule will be available worldwide on March 19 on Nike SNKRS. The “Volt” AM95 sneaker, with its apparel, will also be available from March 19 but only in the UK. Each shoe will cost $ 220, while the apparel items’ price has not yet been revealed.
But that’s not all. In recent weeks, the rumor that in 2021 Nike and Dior will return to collaborate on a new sneaker, probably an Air Max 95, has become more insistent. For now, there are no official confirmations yet.
