The Christmas holiday season is coming to an end. Those hours on the sofa, the company of friends, boyfriends or a nice cup of hot chocolate, are the right combination to watch a good movie together. And so we of the MVC Magazine team have decided to recommend some of the timeless masterpieces of fashion cinema to see or review.
1. The Devil wears Prada
The must par excellence if you fix it The devil wears Prada. The story of a young assistant in the service of the evil director of the most important fashion magazine in the world, Runway. The cast features the beautiful presence of Anna Hathaway and Meyl Streep.
2.I love shopping
The film tells the exploits of the journalist Rebecca Bloomwood, played by Isla Fisher and of her obsession with shopping, finding herself in debt with friends and relatives. A film that teaches what to really value but in a comic key. To see with friends.
3.Coco avant Chanel. Love before the myth
Biographical film starring Audrey Tautuo, which deals with the history of the French stylist Coco Chanel from poverty and the first works as a stand-up comedian, until the birth of her high fashion house, an image of elegance and refinement.
4.The September Issue
The September Issue is a 2009 documentary focused on the world of fashion. The work follows for several months Anna Wintour, the famous director of Vogue US, during business meetings and fashion weeks. The title refers to the September issue of the magazine, considered the most important as it characterizes the editorial choices throughout the year. The film premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, earning a prize for best documentary.
5.Yves Saint Laurent (2014)
After the death of Christian Dior, the very young Yves Saint Laurent was appointed head of the prestigious fashion house. During his first fashion show he met Pierre Bergé, who later became not only his business partner (with him he founded the Yves Saint Laurent Company), but also a partner in private life. A touching film, prepare the tissues!
6.The dressmaker- the devil is back
The protagonist of the film is Kate Winslet. Dramatic and sentimental, with a hint of ironic comedy, the film tells the story of Tilly, a well-known fashion designer, who returned to her home country from which she was forced to flee on charges of murder. Here he devises a sophisticated plan to sink his detractors.
7.Valentino: the last Emperor
A 2008 documentary directed by Matt Tyrnauer, which recounts the last two years of activity of the Italian designer Valentino Garavani. Over 250 hours of footage were shot for the film, between June 2005 and July 2007. We recommend the handkerchiefs on hand also in this case!

Lots of testimonials and interviews, from Kanye West to A $ ap Rocky, all the way back to Dapper Dan, a brilliant stylist who took the fabrics of high fashion brands and personalized everything beyond belief.
If you love fashion but also dramatic and thriller films, here is Personal Shopper. With the protagonist Kristen Stewart, the film tells of Maureen, an American girl who lives in Paris and works as a personal shopper, that is, she has the task of choosing the ideal clothes with a stratospheric budget available for a demanding star named Kyra. But that after the death of her twin brother, the young woman discovers that she has acquired the ability to communicate with the souls of the deceased. For the less brave, we recommend a light on.
10.Sex and the City
Last but not least, indeed to be seen absolutely, we recommend you to see Sex and the City, first and second.
