“I often see images of Off-White customers who love to dress their children. I wanted to expand our roster and offer something of our world, even to the little ones.” So Virgil Abloh, founder and creative director of the Off White brand, explains the reason that led him to consider his latest project. The designer launched his first collection dedicated to the Kids world and boys and girls aged 4 to 12.
As for the branding that will accompany the first collection in question, Virgil Abloh has rethought the recently debuted “raised hands” logo by adding the typical scribbles dear to children’s imagination, which will be presented in a lively color palette. The graphic elements range from the symbol of the sun to a sitting stick figure and the word “KIDS” inserted in the representative font of the brand.
Sweaters, hooded sweatshirts, cardigans, denim jackets, coats, and varsity jackets will be protagonists within the line. This is designed for both the male and female sides of the baby clientele. The first child’s sneaker that differs from the collaborations with Nike is added to complete the collection: the “Low Vulcanized“. The inspiration comes from hippie culture.
