Petee’s Pie is not only one of the best bakery in New York but it also has a unique story. As written in the book “Pie for everyone”, the parents of Petra Paredez founded in 1981 the Mom’s Apple Pie Company which had a huge success all over Virginia. Then Petra and her husband Robert decided to expand and open a bakery using some of her parent’s recipes, and this is how Petee’s Pie started. Located in the Lower East Side of New York since 2014, in 2016 the New York Times said that Petra’s cakes were the best in the city. A second location opened in Brooklyn in 2018. Among their bestsellers, there are the “Montmorency Cherry” and the “Butternut Kabocha Pumpkin“, the best carrot cake in New York.
