The inaugural launch of “SuperGucci”, the coolest Collabo of 2022 between Gucci and Superplastic, is scheduled for February 1.
Divided into three parts, the inaugural launch of SUPERGUCCI will include ten exclusive NFTs and matching ceramic sculptures, each of which was handmade in Italy and co-designed by both labels. “Each limited and precious NFT piece draws inspiration from Gucci’s distinctive models, icons and symbols, reinterpreted through the artistic flair of the diamond tips of SUPERPLASTIC, Janky & Guggimon,” reads a press release.
To celebrate the collaboration, SUPERLASTIC’s animated celebrities visited the Gucci Digital Vault, the brand’s online concept store created by creative director Alessandro Michele, where they immersed themselves in both the history and future of Gucci. The collaboration is indicative of the desire of both labels to experiment within the metaverse, following that trend inaugurated by Gucci with its “Aria” Collection.
On the occasion of the release of the collaboration, Gucci Vault will also offer its sixth collection of vintage pieces, each of which has been hand-selected by Michele and the Maison’s archivists.
The first drop of SUPERGUCCI will be available from February 1 on the SUPERPLASTIC website and through Gucci Vault.
