Yesterday morning when the citizens of London took the tube to Oxford Circus, the hub of London shopping, they were amazed. Today is the day of the launch of the new Sony console, the PlayStation 5, in the United Kingdom, and to promote the new product, Sony has literally invaded some London Underground stations, personalizing the historic symbol with the famous icons of the buttons on the controller. An excellent marketing gimmick so much that many fans have spoken of a “slap” to the Redmond house since the entrance to the Oxford Street subway is right in front of a … Microsoft Store!

This generated a great amazement in the citizens and especially in the fans, who photographed the unusual signs of the Tube and once posted on Twitter and Instagram, they began to travel around the world. Also inside the long underground corridors there are the famous icons combined with the historic red circle of the oldest underground in the world. They will be there for two days.

The Mile End stop becomes Miles End for the occasion, to celebrate the debut of Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, Lancaster Gate turns into Ratchet and Clankaster Gate, Seven Sisters has transformed into Gran Turismo 7 Sisters and lastly, West Ham becomes Horizon Forbidden West Ham: These temporary stations names will remain on the London Underground until December 16.

Although Londoners are forced to stay at home due to the lockdown in Great Britain and currently there is not a lot of bustle between city streets and the subway, the great marketing campaign by Sony, after having officialised Travis Scott as testimonial, it’s really catchy and is getting a lot of success on social networks. We are curious to know what will be the next move for the next city!
