ON SOCIAL MEDIA IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO DRESS UP YOUR AVATAR

Avatars are completely digitized, even on social media. This is the new bet. While more and more brands have entered the Metaverse, including Nike, Adidas, Gucci, and BAPE to name a few, Mark Zuckerberg seems to have taken a step towards digitizing all of us. The founder of Facebook announced with a post on his profile that the arrival of a series of 3D avatars compatible with FacebookInstagramMessenger, and Quest will have a range of realistic expressions and be entirely customizable.

“We are updating Meta avatars with many more expressions, faces, and skin tones, as well as wheelchairs and hearing aids. We’re also starting to experiment with digital clothing, including the official NFL shirts that you can wear for the Super Bowl. You can use it on Quest, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. One day you will have multiple avatars ranging from expressive to photorealistic. I can’t wait to share more soon.”

And even more interesting, since many luxury and streetwear brands have already entered the Metaverse, the NFT of sneakers or other items could translate into items that can be used to dress their avatar on Meta, giving the possibility to brands to create real digital collections that our avatr will be able to wear.
