Nostalgic places and a legendary musical tradition are the backdrop to the iconic Levi’s models, reinterpreted for the occasion.” This is the introduction that the Levis brand writes us to present his collaboration with the artist from the 10 Grammy Awards.
No wonder then that the debut collection of the author of Man of the Woods (in Italian, Uomo dei bosco, his latest album) is called Fresh Leaves (literally: fresh leaves), a name chosen specifically to indicate the purpose of a special collaboration to offer a new vision of the timeless pieces of the American brand par excellence.
And after two editions, the third edition of Levi’s X Justin Timberlake is available online from Levi’s website yesterday 15 octomber. The capsule offers the best of Levi’s tradition, made of quality fabrics and manufacturing, to which it adds current streetwear cues, playing with proportions, proposing oversize garments and adding the hood on the Truckers and the sweaters.
The collection and the spot were under the guidance of the most famous New York street photographer, Daniel Arnold.
Also yesterday evening, next to the presentation of the new collection, Justin performed at the Haus in Los Angeles to celebrate his initiative in co-lab with Levi’s Music Project which from 2015 supports young musicians all over the world. In particular, the artist has created a new class of musicians and has created a musical studio equipped with all the necessary instruments at the Stax Music Academy in his hometown of Memphis in Tennessee.
