Gucci created a new Instagram account, @gucciequilibrium that shares all the initiatives and commitment of the brand to promote positive changes, for the people and the environment. Gucci Equilibrium was initially created in 2018, as a digital portal, that wanted to encourage a community of people to join the conversation around important topics about the world that we live in. “The actions of Gucci revolve around issues that constitute the base for our collective future and deeply influence it. It’s important to create a future in which injustice and discrimination stop to exist. After the recent events that affected the society, our commitment to fight racism and support equality is even stronger,” explains Marco Bizzarri, Chairman and CEO of Gucci.

 

Sustainability is an issue that the brand takes seriously, and their team is constantly looking for new production techniques, by incorporating alternative and sustainable materials. Gucci’s production process reduces water and chemicals usage, as well as any wasted materials. The use of recycled materials and organic fibres for the collections, reduce the environmental impact while incorporating renewable energy in their stores, offices, warehouses and factories brought amazing results with the goal of reaching 100% before the end of 2020.
