Ghali is the latest celebrity that joined the Animal Crossing community. Thanks to company 100 Thieves, fashion and video-games meshed together with the creation of digital versions of some of the collections of some of the most famous names in the fashion industry, inside Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Since then, many are the brands that joined the trend like Balenciaga, Burberry, Celine, Chanel, Dior, Fred Perry, Stone Island, and brands such as Maison Valentino and Marc Jacobs even launched exclusive collections only available on the Switch videogame. And are indeed by Maison Valentino the outfits worn by Ghali’s avatar.
The animated video that shares Ghali’s daily routine, from the studio rehearsal to the fitting for his concerts, was made by the creative duo crossingtherunway that for a while now has been making outfits for the game. “It was fan sharing some moments of my daily life,” share Ghali. “Because at the moment is impossible to do it in real life, I wanted to share it at least through my animated version. This gave me the change to perform, which was one of my favourite parts because it’s my natural habitat and I really miss doing concerts. Beside my avatar, they created a series of outfits inside the virtual world of Animal Crossing; my favourite one was the neon green sweater paired with a matching bucket hat”. A good opportunity to see Ghali live, now that he announced that the only live concert that he will do in 2020 will be in Germany.
