After Genova, Bologna and Palermo, Fay’s amazing “Fab Four Tour” ended with great style in Rome, with a cocktail event, with a Dj set, lots of guests and sparkles. Of course I couldn’t miss it, as I’ve known and loved this brand even since I was little and most of all as I’m a great fan of the 4 Ganci. As a matter of fact the 4 Ganci jacket was the main character of this tour that Fay planned in collaboration with Vanity Fair.
This wonderful and iconic outerwear piece fastened with four hooks marked Fay’s origins at the beginning of the 80’s, became an absolute must-have in every man’s closet and even became a synonym for the term “jacket”. Let me explain how much I love this piece: I’ll just tell you that if I meet a boy and discover he owns one, I immediately like him a bit more. And after all, we’re talking about the only unisex jacket I would wear. Refined, comfortable, performing, created for confident men and women living in a city.
And now, finally, Fay decided to honour its most important and representative product, launching it again in a modern and new perspective. On the occasion of the Fashion Week, our beloved jacket went through a restyling: yes, there is a new 4 Ganci, and you can find it here in limited edition (just 2500 pieces).
The casual chic style didn’t change. But lines have been slightly revisited and most of all the brand decided to employ new and high-tech materials: the cotton-made canvas is water-resistant and the lining is made of ultralight nylon. That means that you won’t have any problems with rain but, on the other hand, you won’t get that bothering heavy feeling that sometimes we get from high-tech jackets. Della Valle’s brand keeps on making us dream.
