El Porteño is the restaurant to enjoy Argentina without leaving Milan. The name itself is already an important link with Buenos Aires, the porteños are in fact the inhabitants of the Argentine capital, referred to as “those from the port” or “those who come from boats” and who have been living in the city for several generations. An important name which perfectly links the place to its country of inspiration. The furniture is no exception, the care and research for details will make you dream of being hosted in the homes of the inhabitants of Buenos Aires, on the other side of the world, through the retro design and the warm and lively atmosphere that characterizes Argentina.
The Argentine doc menu is the real star of El Porteño. The meat (in this restaurant is of the highest quality) features cooking and cuts in true Argentine style. We recommend the grilled ribs and of course the typical dishes, from empanadas to pollo en escabeche, accompanied by a wine list that boasts some of the most famous national and foreign labels.
Follows also El Porteño Gourmet, opened on 5 December in via Speronari 4, in a prestigious location such as the new “design & entertainment destination” Speronari Suites. The location is open from Monday to Sunday from 7 to 24 for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offers the best of Argentine cuisine and tradition, albeit with due reinterpretations, starting with the introduction of raw meat that is not eaten in Argentina.
